We have to admit, the Flammkuchen was there before the pizza. At least, outside the borders of Italy. And if you combine a pizza with a Flammkuchen you get one like these. On this pizza base you have all the ingredients of the original Flammkuchen. This boy is topped with creme fraiche, onion and (vegetarian) bacon. We topped him off with lamb’s lettuce which gives a nutty flavour. The Flammkuchen is an ideal addition to you Sunday afternoon drink. Or eat it as a snack before a meal with friends or family.
- / 2 Magioni cauliflower pizza bases
- / 75g vegetarian bacon
- / 125g creme fraiche
- / 1 red onion
- / Lamb’s lettuce
How to prepare
Preheat the oven at 220 °C and prebake the pizzas for 6 minutes.
Bake the vegetarian bacon in the pan until crispy. Meanwhile cut the red onion in half and slice it.
Take the bases out of the oven and spread the creme fraiche on top of the bases. Put the bacon and red onion on the pizza.
Bake the pizzas for another 4 minutes in the oven, until the crust is a bit brown. Top it off with lamb’s lettuce. Enjoy!
